Buried Services and Features

Desktop research and a site surveys will give an indication of buried services. The features likely to be encountered are; 

•    Foul and storm drains – either private or public
•    Electrical cables your supplier or National Grid
•    Gas mains your supplier or E.on
•    Water service pipes your supplier or Severn Trent
•    Telecom cables your supplier or BT

In an Industrial situation there is possibility of oil, petrol and air supply pipes.

Guidance should be obtained from each specific public utilities company and in the case of public sewers, contact the Local Water Authority.
